About the park
In the middle of Drenthe
The park is geographically located right in the heart of the province of Drenthe. In the middle of nature and yet with the convenience of proximity to the cosy village of Westerbork. From the park, beautiful heathlands and forests are ‘just around the corner’. Real Drenthe tourist villages such as Orvelte, Dwingeloo and Diever are within cycling distance.
Our country houses are situated around a large lake, in which many fish can be found. The holiday cottages vary in size from 4-persons to 10-persons. The large cottages offer the space to spend the day with a larger group, while surrounding houses can be rented for overnight stays.
The fully equipped country houses are classified as “comfort”, “luxury” and “wellness”. There are waterfront and country houses for rent. Swimming and fishing are allowed at the park. A fishing dock to cast your fishing rod from the house or a dip in our lake? It is all possible.

This is also the reason why at Het Timmerholt, in addition to regular holiday homes, you will find adapted houses for people with disabilities and houses that are fully wheelchair-accessible on the ground floor with the necessary adjustments.
