Fishing holiday
At Het Timmerholt in Drenthe
Fishing from the garden, from your own dock or a specially equipped fishing spot, the 4-hectare lake of Timmerholt offers plenty of unique fishing spots for your fishing holiday in the Netherlands. Great fish are caught, including carp over 30 pounds on a regular basis. The largest carp was a 46-pound common carp.
The more than 1500 mirror and common carp we released in six phases in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022, to keep the population varied, are caught with weights varying between 10 and meanwhile above 45 pounds.
In 2022, 40 grass carp were stocked, averaging 5 pounds. Apart from the great sport these fish give on the rod, these fish have also been deployed to be able to contain the abundant growth of aquatic plants in our healthy water.
Besides carp, predatory and whitefish can also be found in our water.
Of course, we ask you to use our fishpond with respect for nature, the fish and the other guests in the park. To this end, we have drawn up fishing regulations which you can view and download here .
